Class Information

Gyaku Ebi with Tengu - (Class Time: 2 Hours) **
I will teach my Tengu harness in its current form and how to use it in a strict and neat hog tie/gyaku ebi. Detailed step for step instructions for a specific execution. Students must be able to follow a complex pattern. Models need to have a healthy back to make the final shape as it includes bending. Tie itself is usually fine for most bodies. Those tying will need to be proficient enough in suspension to lock a line safely.
Creative Progression for Semi-suspension (Class Time: 2 Hours) **
This class is mean to discover the ways suspension lines help us control our partner more confidently as opposed to floorwork without uplines. Exploring possibilities of creating shape and effect when using the opposing force of pull of suspension with the blocking of the floor.Students will make their own progressions step for step through guided exercises and tips on techniques used in semi-suspension.

Face Bondage - (Class Time: 2 Hours)
The face is sensitive body part to tie. It’s the home of many of our senses, the center of expression and has a big impact on our emotions. In this workshop Ceci and Tina will explore tying the face with rope and string. They will augment and distort features, tease, stimulate and deprive the senses. They ask that you attend the workshop with a person you trust to carry your vulnerability. Students need to be able to negotiate and communicate with their tying partner in a safe and efficient way.
Ceci’s Arms in Front Chest Harness - (Class Time: 3 Hours) **
This technical rope workshop will focus on a versatile and simple upper body harness designed by Ceci that can be adapted for different bodies. The base form of the harness has the hands tied in the front. We will also look at some other hand position options if time permits. The workshop sneakily teaches you rope tension and placement on different bodies. Students must have knowledge of basic tension, placement and frictions in upper body ties. No mobility or body shape requirements for people getting tied, we will work around any physical limitations or injuries you might have.

Labbing and Community Learning (Class Time: 2 Hours)
In this workshop/discussion group, we’ll run down the key skills needed to work on designing ties collaboratively. Certain sensible rules exist around interacting with and critiquing other rope fanatics work while scening and teaching in formal settings. Intentionally re-writing these rules can foster a group learning environment that leads to ideas none of the individuals could have achieved alone. No technical requirements, but students should be comfortable with the idea of other attendees giving feedback on their ties.
Microbondage (Class Time: 2 Hours)
Microbondage is bondage that pays attention to the small details: fingers, toes, lips, hair, tongues. In this class, we’ll be exploring slow, intentional play that creates tension and immobilisation through binding and manipulation of sometimes overlooked or finicky body parts, and share some of our tools and experience from playing with microbondage. If you have any thin twine, cloth gags, pegs etc, please bring them along. We’ll be sharing some of our own kit for those who might need it. Students should be comfortable with a single column tie. Content warning for finger/face/foot/toe bondage.
Torsions + Breath Play (Class Time: 3 Hours) **
This class will play with breathplay through torsions on the floor and in partial suspensions. Rather than creating exact visual symmetry, we are aiming for harmony and balance. Rotating the neck, the shoulders, the hips in different directions can create physically demanding positions which exaggerate the model’s proportions. We will start with open shapes and back bends, pulling the model’s shoulders back and exposing the throat. Then we will move into more crumpled-up, closed shapes where the knees and chest come together. Each set of positions has its own challenges, for model and for rigger. Torsions - particularly with an extreme bend at the waist - can create breath restriction. (If the class is interested and somewhat experienced we can explore this further.) Riggers should be able to tie load-bearing chest harnesses (i.e. the TK, though arms-free harnesses are good too) and models should be aware of the difference between circulation and nerve impingement.
Trampling + rope (Class Time: 2 Hours)
This class will explore the potential for combining rope bondage and trampling in BDSM play. Some rope bottoms enjoy the idea of and/or the sensation of being stepped on, squashed or otherwise squeezed and we will discuss how to plan a rope scene with this in mind. We will demonstrate floor work and partials suitable for the rigger to apply force with their feet, knees, elbows and other parts of the body. Please wear clothes that you are comfortable in moving around in. While we will discuss the use of high-heeled shoes, boots and other footwear in trampling, the class will be practiced barefoot or in socks.

Bamboo Floor Ties (Class Time: 2 Hours)
Bamboo is a natural material that can be incorporated into rope bondage to create unique textures and shapes. In this class, Star and RealmsBeyond will focus on the basics of using bamboo, including safety considerations, tying techniques and creative possibilities. Students must have knowledge of nerve placement in the arms

Hojojitsu and Body Control (Class Time: 2 Hours)
This class will start by establishing the basis of how traditional hojojitsu ties work. We’ll then show how conventional shibari fundamentals can be adapted, alongside body control to build intense but risk aware restraint.
Form Versus Freeform (Class Time: 2-3 Hours)
In this practical class, we will assess the advantages and experiential difference between tying formed ties and freeform ties. Is there a shorthand that makes all ties work? How can we tie in a way that suits our situation? This class is perfect for people who wish to add an element of stylistic discord to their tying or reassess their existing patterns.
** Safe knowledge of suspension required. All riggers will need to have suitable suspension equipment and knowledge of safety in suspension
